1. Acceptance of TermsThese Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the user or server administrator) and Codeshare, the operator of Sylon. By using the Service, you represent that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Server administrators who add the Bot to a Discord server accept these Terms on behalf of their server and are responsible for ensuring their members are informed of applicable policies.
2. Acceptable UseYou agree to use Sylon only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not: (a) use the Service for illegal activities, including but not limited to harassment, stalking, threats, or distribution of illegal content; (b) use the Bot to violate Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines; (c) attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Bot or Website; (d) use the Service to conduct spam, phishing, or any automated abuse; (e) exploit bugs or vulnerabilities — if found, report them to [email protected]; (f) use the Service to impersonate other users, servers, or organizations; (g) interfere with the Bot's normal operation or attempt to disrupt other users' access to the Service. 3. EligibilityYou must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, in compliance with Discord's minimum age requirement. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. Server administrators must be at least 13 years old and hold appropriate permissions (Administrator or Manage Server) in the Discord server where they add the Bot.
4. Features & AvailabilityThe Bot provides protection systems (spam, advertising, activity advertising, word filtering and server guard), moderation commands, ticketing, message and activity logging, welcome and goodbye messages, auto roles, role menus, thank-you, leveling, invite tracking and giveaways. Every feature except leveling is disabled until a server administrator enables it. We provide the Service on a best-effort basis and do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or timely availability. Features and availability may change at any time, and we may add, modify, suspend or discontinue any feature or the entire Service at our discretion. We will make reasonable efforts to announce significant changes in advance.
5. Moderation & EnforcementModeration, protection and reward actions are carried out by the Bot according to the configuration chosen by each server's administrators and the commands its staff issue. That configuration is the server's responsibility: thresholds, punishments, exemptions, reward roles and who may use which command are all set by the server. We are not responsible for how a server configures or uses these tools, nor for moderation decisions taken with them, and each server is responsible for ensuring its use complies with applicable law and with Discord's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Automated protection is not perfect; a server that enables a punishment accepts that automated decisions may occasionally be wrong and remains responsible for reviewing them.
Your contentYou keep ownership of everything you write. Where a feature necessarily records what was written — ticket transcripts, message edit and delete logs, thank-you reasons, moderation reasons and giveaway prize text — you grant us the limited right to store and display it for the purpose of operating that feature for the server it belongs to. Do not submit content through the Bot that is unlawful, that infringes someone else's rights, or that you are not permitted to share. Server administrators are responsible for the content their members produce in the channels the Bot records, and for telling their members which logging features are enabled.
Acceptable useYou may not use the Service to break the law or Discord's rules; to harass, abuse or endanger anyone; to evade a ban, moderation action or rate limit; to interfere with the Bot's operation, its infrastructure or other servers using it; to automate abusive request volumes against our API or dashboard; to attempt unauthorised access to data belonging to another server or member; or to resell or present the Service as your own. We may restrict or remove access for any server or user that does so, without notice where the abuse is ongoing.
6. Limitation of LiabilityTO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED 'AS IS' AND 'AS AVAILABLE' WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. CODESHARE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL CODESHARE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, MODERATION ERRORS, MISSED THREAT DETECTIONS, OR SERVICE INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. THE SERVICE IS OFFERED FREE OF CHARGE; OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
7. Intellectual PropertyAll content, design, code, branding, and materials associated with Sylon — including the Bot's name, logo, web dashboard, and documentation — are the intellectual property of Sylon and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our express written permission. User-generated content (such as server names, moderation reasons, and ticket messages) remains the property of the respective users.
8. TerminationWe reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Grounds for termination include violation of these Terms, abuse of the Service, or actions that are harmful to other users or to Sylon. Upon termination, you must stop using the Service. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including limitation of liability, intellectual property rights, and contact information.
9. Changes to TermsWe may update these Terms at any time. When material changes are made, we will update the 'Last updated' date at the top of this page. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes via our Discord support server. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the Service and remove the Bot from your server.
