Giveaways

Run fair, automated Discord giveaways with entry requirements, bonus entries and one-click winner rerolls — managed from Discord or the web dashboard.

Overview

Sylon runs your giveaways end to end. Start one from Discord with a command or from the web dashboard, and members enter with a single click. Entry requirements keep draws fair, bonus entries reward your boosters and supporters, and when the timer runs out Sylon draws the winners automatically — skipping anyone who left or no longer qualifies. Every giveaway is archived with its full participant timeline.

How it works

1

Start it anywhere

Use the giveaway command in Discord or create it from the dashboard — set the prize, duration, channel and how many winners.
2

Fair, rule-based entry

Members join with a button or emoji. Required roles, blocked roles, minimum account age, time in the server and tracked invite count are checked at entry and again at draw time.
3

Automatic draw and full history

When time is up Sylon picks winners, announces and DMs them, and keeps the entrant list so you can review or reroll at any time.

How it works in detail

Requirements

A giveaway can require roles, block roles, demand a minimum account age, a minimum time in the server, or a minimum number of tracked invites. Requirements are checked when someone enters and verified again at the draw, so someone who loses eligibility in between cannot win.

Bonus entries

Roles can be worth extra entries. The highest matching bonus applies rather than the sum, so stacking roles does not multiply someone’s odds without limit. Winners are drawn weighted by entries and never twice.

The public page

Every giveaway gets a short code and a page at /gw/<code>, with a live countdown, the prize, requirements and the winners. A server-wide list lives at /g/<server>. Participant names are only shown if the server opts in.

Ending and rerolling

A giveaway ends on its own when the timer runs out, and staff can end or reroll it early. Every action is logged with who performed it, so a manual end or reroll is never anonymous.

Codes are unique per giveaway and get longer automatically if the short ones ever run out.
Turning the public page off hides existing giveaways from the web immediately.

Frequently asked questions

How are winners chosen?

Sylon draws randomly from valid entrants, weighted by bonus entries. Anyone who left the server or no longer meets the requirements is skipped, and one person can never win twice in the same draw.

What happens if the bot restarts mid-giveaway?

Nothing is lost. Giveaways are stored in the database, so a restart doesn't affect them — anything that expired while the bot was offline is ended as soon as it comes back.

Can visitors see my giveaways on the website?

Only if you enable it. You can publish a public page showing prizes, remaining time and winners, and separately choose whether participant names are visible.
