First impressions matter on Discord. Sylon greets new members with customizable welcome cards and messages, says goodbye when they leave, and can automatically hand out roles the moment someone joins your server.

How it works

Design

Choose a welcome/goodbye card template and message with dynamic placeholders for member name, count and server.

When a member joins or leaves, Sylon posts the card and message in your chosen channel.

Setup

1.Open the dashboard, go to the Welcome & Goodbye tab and enable either or both.

2.Set a channel and write a message for joins, leaves, or both.

3.Optionally turn on the generated image card and pick a style.

How it works in detail

Two directions, one system

Welcome and goodbye are configured independently — a server can announce joins without announcing leaves, or the reverse. Each has its own channel, message and card toggle.

The image card

When enabled, a generated card shows the member’s avatar and name alongside the server. It is rendered fresh for every event, not a static template with a name pasted in.

Message placeholders

The message text can reference the member and the server, so a single template produces a personalised line for every join or leave rather than a generic notice.

Good to know

Sylon needs Send Messages and Attach Files in the welcome/goodbye channel for the card to appear.

A member who leaves and rejoins triggers both messages again — this system does not check invite history the way the invite tracker does.
